





Laramie Beautification CommitteeLRCD has been an active participant in the Laramie Beautification Committee since its inception in April 2003. We continue to work with the committee on community enhancement project such as the South Third Street and South Highway 287 Entryway projects. Tony Hoch also started working with West Laramie businesses on future beautification projects. LRCD also co-sponsored a new Community Beautification Award Program for residents and businesses who make a difference by remodeling or landscaping their properties. |
County Cleanup DayLRCD continues to assist the County Planner’s office in the annual county cleanup as requested by the County Planner. On a Saturday in June dump fees were waived for county residents at the City Landfill and County dump trucks accepted refuse at no charge at Lake Hattie, Centennial, Woods Landing and Rock River. LRCD shared in the endeavor by helping the County Planning Office with advertising. |
City Cleanup DayLRCD organized volunteers to clean up theLaramie River Greenbelt from the WyomingTerritorial Park to Optimist Park, and the Snowy Range Road from the State Vet Lab to Cedar Street in cooperation with Laramie Rotary and Laramie Audubon Society, as part of a city-wide effort to pick up trash that accumulated over the winter. With help from the additional organizations, we had a force of 20 people and finished these high-visibility areas before noon. Tony Hoch, Matt Scott, and Michele Barlow helped out. Trish spearheaded a cleanup of LaBonte Park in Cooperation with the Wyoming Children’s Museum and Nature Center. |
